Disassembly Process

ASUS G750 Series Notebook consists of various modules. This chapter describes the procedure for the complete notebook disassembly. In addition, in between procedures, the detailed disassembly procedure of individual modules will be provided for your needs.

The disassembly process consists of the following steps:

  • Bottom Case Module
  • Memory Module
  • HDD & SSD Module
  • Top Case Module
  • LCD Module
  • Memory 2 Module
  • WLAN (WiFi) Module
  • Power board Module
  • ODD (optical drive disc) Module
  • Thermal Tunnel & Fan
  • VGA Board

Bottom Case Module

The illustrations below show how to remove and disassemble the Bottom Case Module.

Remove the Top Case Module

1. Remove 1 screw on the bottom case.

2. Use disassembly tool to pry up the board.


Memory Module

The illustration shows how to remove the memory Module.

1. Pull two latches here to pop the Memory module up at 45 angles, and then pull out the module at that angle.


HDD & SSD Module

The illustration shows how to remove the HDD & SSD Module.

Remove HDD & SSD Module

1. Remove 6 screws (6 screws of M2*4) on the HDD & SSD module

 

2. Remove 4 screws (4 screws of M3*3) on the HDD.


TOP Case Module

The illustrations below show how to remove and disassemble the Bottom Case Module.

1. Remove 7 rubbers.

2. Remove 13 screws (3 screws of M2*12,4 screws of M2.5*4,3 screws of M2*3,2 screws of M2*4, 1 screws of M2*8) on the bottom case.


3. Turn over the LCD hinge cover assy.

4. Disconnect the speaker cable and take the LCD hinge cover assy away.

Remove the Top Case Module

5. Remove 2 screws (2 screws of M2*4) on the top case.

6. Take the LCD and Top case into a 90 degree angle. Pry up the top case.

7.Disconnect the Keyboard FFC and Keyboard LED FFC.

8. Disconnect the TP FFC and another FFC.

9. Disconnect the LVDS cable.

10. Disconnect the Emitter cable and the antenna cable.

11. Disconnect the CMOS cable

12. Remove 8 screws (2 screws of M2.5*4, 6 screws of M2*8) on the LCD hinges

13. Take the LCD module away.


LCD Module

The illustration shows how to remove the LCD Module.

1. Remove 4 screws (4 screws of M2.5*5) on LCD front bezel.

2. Use disassembly tool to pry up the edge of the bezel. And take the LCD front bezel away.

3. Remove 18 screws (4 screws of M1*3, 14screws of M2.5*5) on LCD and lift up the LCD.

4. Take the hinges away and take turn over the LCD panel.

5. Tear off 1 tape and disconnect the LVDS cable.

6. Remove 6 screws (6 screws of M2*3) on the LCD hinges and take it away.


Memory 2

The illustration shows how to remove memory module.

Remove Memory 2 Module

1. Pull two latches here to pop the Memory module up at 45 angles, and then pull out the module at that angle


 WLAN (WiFi)

The illustration shows how to remove WLAN module.

Remove WLAN Module

1. Remove 2 screws (3 screws of M2*2) on the WLAN and take it away.


Power Board

The illustration shows how to remove the Power board.

Remove Power Module

1. Remove 3 screws(3 screws of M2*10)on the power board and take the power board away

2. Disconnect the fan cable.

3. Tear off 2 tapes and disconnect the USB cable.

4. Remove 3 screws (3 screws of M2*6) on the USB board and take it away.


ODD

The illustration shows how to remove ODD module.

1. Push the ODD toward the arrow direction.


Main Board

The illustrations below show how to remove the main board.

Removing the main board

1. Tear off 1 tape and disconnect the SSD FFC, HDD FFC.

2. Remove 15 screws(11 screws of M2*6, 3 screw of M2*2, 1 screw of M2*8)on the main board and remove the main board toward the arrow direction


Thermal Module Assy & Fan

The illustrations below show how to separate the Thermal module assy & Fan

Separate Thermal module assy & Fan

1. Tear off 1 tape and remove 8 screws (8screws of M2*3) on the thermal module

2. Take the Thermal module assy & Fan away toward the arrow direction

3. Tear off 1 tape on each fan.


VGA Board

The illustrations below show how to remove and disassemble the VGA board of the notebook.

Removing the VGA Board

1. Remove 3 screws (3screws of M2*3) on the VGA board and take it away.
