Disassembly Process
ASUS EPAD ME172V consists of various modules. This chapter describes the procedures for the complete EPAD ME172V disassembly. In addition, in between procedures, the detailed disassembly procedure of individual modules will be provided for your needs.
The disassembly procedure consists of the following steps:
- Cover Module
- Battery Module
- Main Board
- Front Camera
- Speaker Module
- Inner Frame
Cover Module
The illustrations below show how to remove the cover module from the EPAD ME172V.
1. Use plastic blade to pry 4 sides of the bottom case along the following directions.
2. Remove the bottom case.
Battery Module
The illustrations below show how to remove the battery module from the EPAD ME172V.
1. Disconnect the battery cable.
2. Carefully pry the battery with the plastic blade.
Main Board.
The illustrations below show how to remove the main board from the EPAD ME172V.
1. Carefully tear off the tapes.
2. Open the latches to remove 3 FPCs, and disconnect the speaker cable.
3. Loosen 10 screws to remove the main board.
Front Camera
The illustrations below show how to remove the front camera from the EPAD ME172V.
1. Disconnect the front camera located next to the audio jack.
Speaker Module
The illustrations below show how to remove the speaker module from the EPAD ME172V.
1. Remove the speaker module. (Without loosening any screw)
Inner Frame
The illustrations below show how to remove the inner frame from the EPAD ME172V.
1. Loosen 5 screws securing the inner frame.
