Disassembly Process
ASUS PADFONE A68 consists of various modules. This chapter describes the procedures for the complete PADFONE disassembly. In addition, in between procedures, the detailed disassembly procedure of individual modules will be provided for your needs.
The disassembly procedure consists of the following steps:

A68
- Cover module
- Inner case

Cover Module
The illustrations below show how to remove the Cover Module from the P03.
1. Remove the label on padfone bay.
2. Remove 4 screws on the bay.
3. Use disassembly tool to pry down the LCD bezel, and then pry the 4 sides of the bezel.
Battery
The illustrations below show how to remove the Battery from the P03.
1. Below shows the module.
2. Tear off 2 tapes.
3. Disconnect the MICRO-USB FPC.
4. Disconnect the battery FFC.
5. Carefully tear off the battery and take it away.
MIC Board.
The illustrations below show how to remove the MIC Board from the P03.
1. Carefully tear off the MIC board and take it away.
2. Disconnect the FFC.
3. Remove the MIC board.
Button FPC
The illustrations below show how to remove the Button FPC from the P03.
1. Remove 2 screws on the Button FPC and take it away.
Micro-USB FPC
The illustrations below show how to remove the Micro-USB FPC from the P03.
1. Remove 2 screws on the Micro-USB FPC and take it away.
2. Tear off the label from the FPC.
3. Carefully tear off the copper label and take Antenna away.
4. Remove 2 screws on the antenna.
5. Carefully tear off the Antenna and take it away.
6. Disconnect the FFC.
7. Take off the P03 MICRO-USB FPC.
Speaker
The illustrations below show how to remove the Speaker from the P03.
1. Remove 5 screws from the Speaker.
2. Disconnect the FFC.
3. Disconnect the connector.
4. Remove the speaker.
LVDS FPC
The illustrations below show how to remove the LVDS FPC from the P03.
1. Remove LVDS FPC from the main board.
2. Tear off the label and remove the other FPC from the sub board.
Main Board Module
The illustrations below show how to remove the Main Board Module from the P03.
1. Disconnect the camera FPC.
2. Disconnect the FPC.
3. Remove 7 screws from the main board and take away from the frame.
Camera Module
The illustrations below show how to remove the Camera module from the P03.
1. Remove the camera module from the frame.
Touch Board
The illustrations below show how to remove the Touch board from the P03.
1. Remove 1 screw from the touch board.
2. Disconnect the LCD FPC.
3. Remove the touch board from the frame.
Middle Frame.
The illustrations below show how to remove the Middle frame from the P03.
1. Below shows the middle frame. Remove 12 screws from the middle frame.
2. Remove the frame from the LCD module.
LCD Module
The illustrations below show how to remove the LCD module from the P03.

Cover Module
The illustrations below show how to remove the Cover Module from the A68.
1. Use disassembly tool pry up the back cover.
2. Lift up to remove the cover.
3. Below shows the cover module.
Inner case
The illustrations below show how to remove the inner case from the A68.
1. Remove the label on the screw.
2. Remove 14 screws from inner case. Use disassembly tool pry up the inner case.
Main Board
The illustrations below show how to remove the Main Board from the A68.
1. Remove the camera lens.
2. Use disassembly tool pry up the battery and disconnect the FPC.
3. Remove the battery.
4. Disconnect 2 antennas.
5. Tears the tape off carefully and remove the FPC.
6. Remove the touch FPC and SIM tray.
7. Lift up the main board.
8. Turn over the main board and disconnect the FPC.
9. Remove the main board from Padfone.
10. Remove the camera module from main board.
11. Remove the flash rubber.
12. Remove the LED RUBBER and front camera module.
13. Disconnect the vibrator.
14. Below shows the main board module.
Middle frame
The illustrations below show how to remove the Middle frame from the A68.
1. Lift up and tear off the sub board.
2. Push out 6 tenon and lift up the middle frame.
3. Below shows the middle frame and LCD module.
