Disassembly Process
ASUS PADFONE A80 INFINITY consists of various modules. This chapter describes the procedures for the complete PADFONE INFINITY disassembly. In addition, in between procedures, the detailed disassembly procedure of individual modules will be provided for your needs.
The disassembly procedure consists of the following steps:
Pad
- Cover module
- Main board
- Speaker
- Inner frame
- LCD module
A80
- Cover module
- Main board
- LCD module
Cover Module
The illustrations below show how to remove the Cover Module from the Pad.
1. Remove the Teflon sticker.
2. disassemble the screws.
3. Use disassembly tool pry up the back cover.
Main Board
The illustrations below show how to remove the Main Board from the Pad.
1. Remove the tap.
2. Remove the battery connector.
3. Remove all the connector from main board.
4. disassemble 6 screw on the main board.
5. Remove the main board.
Speaker
The illustrations below show how to remove the speaker from the Pad.
1. disassemble 4 screw on the speaker.
2. Remove the speaker.
Inner Frame
The illustrations below show how to remove the inner frame from the Pad.
1. disassemble 13 screw on the speaker.
2. Remove the inner frame and use spray stick to lift 2 antennas.
3. disassemble 2 screws on the Padfone connector.
4. Use spray stick to remove the battery.
5. Disassemble 3 screw on the camera module.
LCD module
The illustrations below show how to remove the LCD module from the Pad.
Cover Module
The illustrations below show how to remove the Cover Module from the A80.
1. Remove the SIM tray.
2. Use disassembly tool pry up the back cover.
3. Lift up to remove the cover.
4. Below shows the cover module.
Main Board
The illustrations below show how to remove the Main Board from the A80.
1. Remove the foil. (please replace a new one once removed).
2. Remove the battery connector.
3. disassemble the screw on the main board.
4. Remove the touch connector.
5. Remove the speaker connector and remove the speaker.
6. Remove the side key FPC.
7. Remove the touch FPC.
8. Disassemble the main board.
9. Remove the LED rubber.
10. Remove the 13M rear camera module.
11. Remove the front camera module from main board.
12. Remove the flash FPC and rubber of the rear flash.
13. Below shows the main board module.
LCD module
The illustrations below show how to remove the LCD module from the A80.
1. Remove the battery. (please replace a new battery once remove it).
2. Below shows the middle frame and LCD module.
