This chapter describes the procedure for the complete ASUS E502 Eeebook disassembly. In addition, in between procedures, the detailed disassembly procedure of individual modules will be provided for your needs.
The disassembly procedure consists of the following steps:
- Remove HDD Module
- Remove the bottom Case Module
- Remove Battery
- Remove the Top Case Module
- Remove WLAN (WiFi) Module
- Remove FAN Module
- Removing the main board
- Removing the LCD Module
Remove HDD Module
The illustration shows how to remove the HDD Module.
1.Remove 1 screws (M2*10L) on the HDD module.
2. Remove 4 screws (M2*4.5L) on the HDD module. Remove the HDD module toward the arrow direction.
3. Remove 4 screws (M3*3L) on the bracket.
Remove the bottom Case Module
The illustrations below show how to remove and disassemble the bottom case module of the Eeebook.
1.Remove 11 screws (M2.5*5L, M2.5*8L, M2*8L) on the bottom case.
2. Using a plastic blade to pry bottom case module.
3. Take top case away.
Remove Battery Module
The illustration below shows how to remove the battery module.
1. Remove 4 screws (M2*4.5L) on the Battery Module.
2. Disconnect the Battery cable (Insert Battery cable to the bottom).
Remove the Top Case Module
The illustrations below show how to remove and disassemble the Top Case Module.
1. Remove 4 screws (M2.5*6L) on the Top case.
Remove WLAN (WiFi) Module
The illustrations below show how to remove the WLAN Module from the Eeebook.
1. Disconnect the WLAN cable and remove one screw (M2*4.5L) on the WLAN. Then take WLAN away.
Remove FAN Module
The illustrations below show how to remove the Fan Module.
1.Remove 2 screws (M2*4.5L) from FAN and Disconnect the FAN cable from mainboard
Removing the main board
The illustrations below show how to remove the main board.
1.Disconnect FFC and Remove 3 screws (M2*4.5L, M2*3L) from the Main Board
Removing the LCD Module
The illustrations below show how to remove and disassemble the LCD Module.
1.Push latch to the right in order to take it away.
2. Remove LCD screw rubbers.
3. Remove 2 screws (M2.5*4.5L).
4. Use plastic blade to pry up the edge of the bezel. And take the LCD front bezel away.
5. Remove 6 screws (M2.5*4L) on the hinge and take it away.
6. Remove 4 screws (M2 *3L).on the LCD.
