If you are making the laptop disassembly for the first time in your life, pay attention to this tutorial — First time repairing
Note: replacement of RAM, wifi module, CPU and GPU – in the Asus UX331 notebook is impossible, all these components are soldered on the motherboard.
Disassembly of ASUS ZenBook 13 UX331
The disassembly process consists of 3 steps.
Unscrew the 10 screws that fix the bottom cover of the notebook case, marked on the photo below.
Then remove the rubber gaskets on the bottom case and unscrew the screws below them.
Next, remove the lower case cover and disconnect the battery connector from the motherboard.
Important: the battery connector must be unplug from motherboard, this will help to avoid shorting on the laptop motherboard when replacing accessories or applying thermal grease.

To remove and replace the M.2 SSD, unscrew one screw that holds the board.
How to remove battery on Asus UX331 laptop
To replace the battery, unscrew the 4 screws and carefully lift battery up.

Cleaning the fan and replacing the thermal paste in the Asus UX331 laptop
In order to remove the cooling system, unscrew the 8 screws and disconnect the fan connector from the motherboard.
Next, clean fan from dust and thermal tube from the old thermal paste.
On the crystal of the CPU and GPU apply a thin and even layer of new thermal paste
Install the cooling system on the motherboard. Pay attention to the markings with numbering, fasten the screws according to the specified order.
